Hollywood Hills, California Mehndi Ceremony

This stunning property nestled in the Hollywood Hills of Southern California was the the perfect backdrop for a Mehndi Ceremony. We were hit with intense midday heat, but the lush landscape around the estate provided an escape under a shady canopy of dark green leaves. It was so interesting to see all of the guests enter the party through the labyrinth that ran along the perimeter of the grounds to enter the reception where they enjoyed a rich lunch and danced under the clear blue California sky. The bride-to-be wore a striking yellow gown and sat patiently as her arms, hands, legs and feet were adorned with Henna. The couple danced with their friends and then all of the guests were invited to take part in the Haldi Ceremony at the end of the day. Indian and Hindu celebrations are amazing to photograph because there is a guarantee of high energy fun and vibrant color. Gorgeous!
