Palos Verdes Estates, California Wedding
Melissa and Morgan are going to live a charmed married life. Of that, I am sure. They met in elementary school. You read that right. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. They drifted apart as life paths would take them in different directions and then reconnected through social media during the Pandemic. Their story is like no other and it would captivate even the most cynical of souls. If you’ve ever considered whether Kismet is real, Melissa and Morgan are my favorite example of fate. Destiny brought them together, tested their hearts and somehow led them back to each other.
The early Fall wedding at Malaga Cove Library was serene and guests enjoyed every minute in the tranquil garden setting hidden in the hills of Palos Verdes Estates. The sweet warm air was tickled by crisp sea breezes that rolled in every so often, just to keep all of our senses on alert. I watched as guests explored the grounds admiring the lush landscape and European inspired architecture. Peacocks wander freely up in these hills and there is a certain mystique that lingers around this little hidden gem.
I have a wedding bucket list (more on that another day) and Strand Bookstore in New York, NY has been in my top 5 for perhaps as long as I have been photographing weddings. Couples get married in the Rare Book Room that is moody and intimate and simply romantic. So! Putting that out into the universe in black and white. I aim to photograph the loveliest, New York fall wedding at Strand Bookstore. Oh, I can feel it! Buuuuut if you hail from the West Coast and have your sights set on a California coastal wedding that would make any bibliophile’s heart soar - Malaga Cove Library is the spot.
