Orange County, California Family Maternity Session

Jenelle came into my life at a time of metamorphosis. December 2020, I wrote what I considered to be a very vulnerable post about needing a friend for my child and maybe even a friend for me. My child, like so many others, made her debut a matter of months before the pandemic altered so much of our world. I spent nearly ten months trying to navigate as a new mother in a very unwelcoming social climate. I would go on three hour walks and stop at various parks in hopes that there would be another parent willing to strike up a conversation and perhaps let their child play with their child - even if at a distance. Nothing.

I took to my local Facebook Mom Group and asked if anyone was willing to allow their child to play with mine. In a group of thousands, I had three responses that were a “Yes”. Jenelle was the one who stuck and I feel so damn lucky. our children made an instant bestie connection and two years later when we get together it leaves me feeling so many different emotions.

Jenelle, I am thankful for you. Your candor, your vulnerability, the way you mother your babe and your enormous heart. I am over the moon for you and your growing family. What a lucky baby to be born your child.
