Newport Beach, California Engagement Session

Gloomy days usually bum people out…especially when they have a portrait session scheduled. I LOVE gloom. There’s something energizing and steamy about cold, overcast, misty weather that I adore. Having couples snuggle up in front of my camera in wintery weather is where it’s at and you can’t change my mind.

Christine and Joseph came into the session understandably worried about the outcome of their session as It had been raining off and on all day. Luckily, the rain lifted and Christine and Joseph put their reservations aside and chose to have fun with their session. I had a blast getting to know Christine and Joseph - they were laughing the entire session.

Important Note: If you are looking at this location and thinking that you need it for your portraits, there is a special permit required in order to have any kind of photography done here. The permit process is a bit of a hassle, so give yourself time to secure it. My husband and I were married just down the street and had our wedding portraits done here and I promise you, it is worth the trouble to get the permit.
